What we mean by a production guarantee
We guarantee that your solar system will produce a certain amount of power, every year, for 25 years. How will we know how much power it produced? With many utilities, at the end of every year, you will receive a “true-up” bill from your utility company. That bill will show how much energy you generate with your system during the year. If it made less power than we said it would, you can submit a claim. Once that claim is approved, we go ahead and pay you the value of the power it didn’t generate.
In short, we guarantee your system is going to produce the amount of power we say it will.

We guarantee the amount of power your system will produce, the actual savings off your utility bill is up to you. To maximize your savings, you’ll want to manage how much power you use, and if you are on time-of-use (TOU) rates when you use that power.
Your solar power system delivers power to the grid during the day. The rate you get paid for that power is up to your utility company. The same goes in the evening after your system is done generating power. The utility company sets the rate that you’ll pay in the evening and night hours. Many customers in states like California pay high peak TOU rates in the evening.
To maximize your power savings under TOU rates, you’ll need to minimize your use of electricity during the peak rate hours. For example, San Diego Gas and Electric customers, pay peak rates in the evening, between 4 PM and 9 PM. Those customers will want to minimize their power usage during those hours for maximum savings.
